Why to love Amethyst

This glorious purple crystal has been prized for ages and at one time was as valuable as diamonds. It is actually in the quartz family. The presence of manganese in clear quartz produces amethyst and the amount of iron varies the level of purple coloration. It is found all over the world in geodes, clusters, and as long single terminations. This is also February’s birthstone.

Metaphysical: Amethyst is used to stimulate the psychic self and help connect to the subconscious realms including the dream space. Its energy encourages intuition and insight and can help with insomnia and anxiety. Amethyst encourages us to look deep within ourselves to come to terms and work with the energies and visions that lay at the core of our being.
